Good day, out lovely castle and grounds. Nice cafe in the village called the Church Mouse. Highly recommended you should make the effort and visit. Brilliant walks close by over the North downs.

Nice place to visit for an hour. Be sure to check if it's open though, as this does vary throughout the year. It is a bit of a misnomer, as you can only visit the gardens; the castle and the Keep behind are both private residences. But the grounds are lovely and peaceful. It's also worth taking time to walk around the tiny village, it's very picturesque. As a bonus, there is a choice of two good pubs or the tearoom if you fancy a bite to eat.

Lovely gardens, with a variety of beautiful plants. well maintained with different areas including a lake. Plenty of seating for relaxation and picnics. Maybe difficult for those with restricted mobility as the grounds are terraced with steps that do not have handrails. Will definitely visit again.

The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, with stunning views overlooking the countryside. There are thoughtfully-placed seats across the gardens. A good place for a picnic but bring your own food and drinks. The house and the Normal Keep are enticing but visitors aren't permitted in those areas. The ticket office only accepts cash.

A fantastic garden, a wonderful experience.

My mum, daughter and I thought we would make the most of the last few garden open days whilst the weather was so sunny. The gardens are absolutely beautiful! So peaceful and full of trees, flowers and gorgeous views! By the lake is a perfect spot for a picnic too :-) Highly recommended!
